Among the bearing components, take-up sleeves (h-he) are used for different bearing versions. And manner of use also varies depending on the bearing versions. If the bearing is tapered, perforated and self-aligning roller bearing, then the take-up sleeve is turned clockwise by using crescent wrench set or chisel. And the gap between the bearing roller and rolling is tightened by using feeler gauge to the specified value. Clearance between the first tightening and second tightening should not be less than 1/3.

Use of Take-up Sleeve for Replacement of Bearing

Bearing set designed as vertical bearing shells contains bearing, bearing shell, take-up sleeve, retaining ring and seal. Application and function of every part is different. Take-up sleeves are used for tightening. This part which is available when fixing, replacing and removing the bearing has a clearance in certain value during replacement. Clearance value of the take-up sleeve in each bearing is different. Improper mounting of the bearings which are easy to mount may cause failure. For this reason, bearing parts compliant with the bearing should be made available as a set and mounting should be performed as a set.
