The most important function of the chain is the resistance it shows against loads. It has power transmission function according to the application. 

Types of Chain

Load transport chains ensure that the material of certain weight on the machine is transported. The material to be transported is lifted thanks to strength of the chain. Chain having tractive power is preferred in the load transport in round and link versions. Transfer chain ensures transmission of load material by transfer. Chains with inner and outer link capable of rotation are preferred. They are preferred for the machines which require lifting.

Driving chains are those which transmit the energy to be transmitted by means of power supply to another environment. They are used in many areas such as food, reducer and machine tools. Among types of chains, the driving and transfer chains have some characteristics in common. Maintenance of the chains is important for prevention of corrosion. Chains are combined from end to end and made ready for us in desired sizes. Compared to the belts, they performs higher power transmission.
