Operating Principle of Worm Gear Reducer
It is used in the operations which require high speed and torque balance. In the worm gear reducers, the axes do not coincide in the gears. Apart from being quiet, it is also preferred because there is no vibration and capability of operating at high speed. It is an advantageous reducer and if it is less than 50 when looked at its angle of pitch, the gears lock themselves. If the rotary motions are transferred from gear instead of screw, screw does not rotate reverse. And it means self-braking. Preferred in the reducer boxes, the worm gears reduce high speed at the highest level. And it is a correct selection for application in all machines which require high speed.
